Rocky Ridge Acres began the way many beautiful things do—with a dream, a leap of faith, and a whole lot of love.
We’re the Worden family, and our story starts with a desire to live a simpler, more intentional life. As our family grew (we’ve been blessed with eight amazing children!), so did our awareness of the food we were feeding them. We wanted to know exactly where our food came from—how it was raised, what it was fed, and the values behind it. That desire turned into a calling, and that calling became Rocky Ridge Acres.
We started small, learning everything we could about ethical animal care, sustainable land management, and pasture-based farming. The early days were full of challenges—mornings that started before sunrise, muddy boots, and a lot of trial and error. But even in the hard moments, we knew we were building something meaningful.

Our farm is more than a business; it’s a way of life. Every day, we work the land together, teaching our children what it means to be good stewards of the land and animals. They help collect eggs, feed the animals, and even pitch in with packing orders. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
We raise our animals the way nature intended—on pasture, hormone-free, with fresh air and room to roam. Our cows graze in open fields, our pigs root and play in the sunshine, and our chickens scratch and peck to their heart’s content. It’s not the fast way, but it’s the right way.

Today, Rocky Ridge Acres serves families, friends, and neighbors throughout Parkton and surrounding areas. We offer pasture-raised beef, pork, chicken, and eggs, available through convenient online ordering and local delivery. But more than that, we offer a connection—to your food, to your farmers, and to something a little slower, simpler, and sweeter.
