We’re the Wordens, a first-generation farming family with big hearts, hard-working hands, and eight wonderful kids who help keep the farm buzzing with life. Nestled in the heart of Parkton, Maryland, our farm is built on a shared dream: to raise animals the way nature intended, grow food with integrity, and nourish the people and communities we care so deeply about.
What started as a simple desire to feed our own family better has grown into something bigger—a full-fledged farm dedicated to producing wholesome, pasture-raised meats and eggs for families, friends, and neighbors throughout northern Maryland and southern Pennsylvania.
Our Farming Philosophy
At Rocky Ridge Acres, we believe farming should be honest, sustainable, and filled with purpose. Our cows, pigs, and chickens are raised the way they’re meant to be—out on pasture, with plenty of room to roam, root, graze, and stretch their legs. We never use hormones or unnecessary antibiotics.
We’re hands-on in every step of the process—from caring for the animals to collecting eggs, packing orders, and making deliveries. Most days, you’ll find the kids helping with chores, chasing chickens, or riding along for feed runs. It’s a true family effort, and it shows in the quality of everything we offer.
